Volunteer Sunday at Shalem Farm

Shalem Farm is a brand new farm in Doylestown dedicated to permaculture and education. While the farm has a dedicated Jewish focus, it is open to all. Please dress modestly.

This Sunday, they are hosting a volunteer work day, sowing seed, putting up fencing and more. What a great way to spend the afternoon. We hope you’ll join them!

Check them out on facebook and follow them for more opportunities.

The Farm is located right across the street from The Moravian Tile Works!

Please park behind the yellow house.

No prior knowledge of organic farming is necessary. You will gain hands-on experience while learning about regenerative agriculture.

This Sunday the group will be doing the following:

– raking and removing the cornstalks
– spreading pasture seeds for future sheep grazing
– installing a deer fence

Please bring:

-shoes and clothes that can get muddy (long sleeves and pants are recommended)
-water, snacks and/or your lunch
-a rake if you have it
-gardening gloves

There is a port-o-potty on-site for volunteers. We will take a lunch break and eat together in a socially distanced manner. Kids are welcome.
