DFM 50th Anniversary

Apr 28, 2025 | BCFA News, Farmers' Markets | 0 comments

2025 marks the 50th Anniversary of the Doylestown Farmers  Market! To commemorate this milestone, the TileWorks created a commemorative tile which has been installed at the farmers market. Check out some behind the scenes video of the creation of the tile here.

The Doylestown Farmers Market is the oldest continually operating farmers market in Bucks County, established in 1975. BCFA has managed the market since 2017 when it took over from Buckingham Township Civic Association.

Market manager Alexandra Dadio attributes the market’s longevity and success to the “tremendous support from Doylestown Borough, amazing loyal customers, talented vendors, hard work from our administrative team, and a love of local. Come get to know the farmers and makers who hold up our vibrant food economy,” said Dadio. “We are a producers-only market. All of our vendors must either grow what they sell or make what they sell from local ingredients, to adhere to the mission of the Bucks County Foodshed Alliance, our parent company.” (source)

Located in the heart of downtown Doylestown on South Hamilton Street between West Oakland Avenue and West State Street, the open-air market features more than 30 rotating vendors local to Bucks County and the surrounding area. The market takes place every Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 19 through mid-November.
