Ecological Principles with Dr. Cerruti Hooks

Learn how to harness the power of natural systems on your farm to keep pests in check.

While weeds, insect pests, and diseases are often tackled as separate problems, Dr. Cerruti Hooks takes a more comprehensive approach.

Join Dr. Hooks, professor and extension specialist in the Department of Entomology at the University of Maryland, to learn about his view of Integrated Pest Management (IPM), which relies on ecological principles to manage different pest complexes, both above and below the soil surface. He’ll focus on preventive pest management tactics, and discuss how his interdisciplinary research helps sustainable and organic farmers improve efficiency without disrupting the ecosystem.

This webinar is part of our IPM Perspectives series, featuring experts offering unique insights, tools, and techniques to help you manage pests on your farm in a more proactive and sustainable way.
