Groundswell at the County Theater – 10/7

Oct 2, 2026 | BCFA News, Sustainability | 0 comments

We’re thrilled to introduce the incredible panel joining us for a special screening on Groundswell on October 7 at the County Theater in Doylestown.

Dr. Tanya Casas, Dean of Business, Arts, and Sciences at Delaware Valley University

As a result of having been raised in a bicultural family and lived in several countries outside of the United States, Dr. Casas has always been fascinated with studying differences, especially the differential trajectories of societal development and the root causes of social change. She grew up with a foot, so to speak, in two distinct but connected worlds – the United States and Ecuador. This, coupled with a year abroad in Germany during the historical years of 1989 and 1990, when the Berlin Wall fell, ignited her interest in political-economic history and issues of social justice.

Her research interests include indigenous movements, coloniality, food security and food sovereignty, social and environmental justice, international development, global social change, and extractive economies.

Hunter Tini, Livestock Manager at Spring Creek Farm

Hunter is Livestock Manager, bringing a diverse background and a strong science foundation to the role. Hunter studied Plant Sciences at Pennsylvania State University. With a lifelong passion for plants, animals and food, Hunter’s scientific expertise allows for quick adaptation and innovative problem solving on the farm.

Bethani Wright, Coffee Scoop

Bethani is a second generation owner and master coffee roaster. The Coffee Scoop carefully source our beans, working directly with and supporting farmers who embrace regenerative and biodynamic practices. With a deep commitment to both our local community and the world at large, they take great pride in roasting with precision and artistry, honoring the true essence of each bean.

About Groundswell

In the third and final film in the Kiss the Ground documentary series, viewers will gain a global perspective on the three biggest (and interrelated) problems our species faces—climate change, species loss and soil loss. The film will also present a multitude of methods by which regeneration is addressing and even reversing these trends on an ecosystem-by-ecosystem basis, all while storing enough carbon in the ground to help mitigate our changing climate. The documentary is narrated by Demi Moore, Woody Harrelson, Jaden Smith and Jason Momoa.
