Barefoot Botanicals is a certified organic farm working to increase the health and biodiversity of the land they lease, which was a conventional sod farm for decades. Through a combination of reduced tillage, increased perennial and cover crops, water management through the use of bio swales and ephemeral pools, combined with planting 3 acres of native woody corridors and warm season grass meadow, the farm has made it a primary goal to increase wildlife habitat.
The farm focuses on growing medicinal and aromatic herbs, including hemp. With their herbs, the Barefoot Botanicals team produces value added products under the name Bluestem Botanicals offering cocktail ingredients such as botanical simple syrups and bitters as well as medicinal herbal extracts and tea blends-including a full line of Hemp (CBD and CBG) products.
Barefoot Botanicals will have their herbal creations available for purchase during the farm tour. You can also shop for their products year round online, at area farmers markets and events, and at the Mercantile (444 North Main St, Doylestown).
