BCFA is pleased to announce Lorraine Sharaf has been elected to the board of directors!
Lorraine grew up in Bucks County and lives in Doylestown with her husband and daughter. While she was growing up, she spent hours of her free time with family and friends exploring the county and river towns by foot, bicycle, sailboat, inner tube and car. As an adult, she has become concerned about the loss of farms, forests and open lands to development and non-native landscaping that creates deserts for wildlife and damages the natural systems that support healthy soil and water. As a Board Member she will use her knowledge of permaculture design and its underlying ethics of Earth Care, People Care and Fair Share plus her knowledge of the community to help fulfill the BCFA’s mission to connect residents with sustainably grown local, healthy food from farms, farmer’s markets, community gardens and backyards.
You may have met Lorraine on our Food Gardens Tour or Kimchi workshop.
